How to Apply

Step 1: Review the Guidelines Before applying, please ensure that your NGO meets all the guidelines listed below. It’s important to understand the requirements and ensure your organization is eligible.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form Fill out the online application form attached to this post. Provide the necessary information about your NGO and how you meet the eligibility criteria. 

Step 3: Keep Documentation Handy While you do not need to upload any documents with your application, please keep the following documents handy, as they may be requested at any stage:

  • Financial transparency documents (recent financial statement or audit report).
  • Information on staff/volunteer commitment (designated person’s details).
  • If applicable, documentation of significant changes since previous participation.

Step 4: Confirmation and Review You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application. Our team will review your application and may contact you for additional information if needed.

Step 5: Follow-Up If your application is shortlisted, we will reach out to schedule a follow-up meeting to discuss your application further and finalize details.

1. Registration Status

The NGO must be officially registered with the local government (e.g., under the Societies Registration Act, Indian Trusts Act, or as a Public Charitable Trust).

Proof that may be needed: Registration certificate, trust deed, or memorandum of association.

2. Geographic Location

This event focuses on supporting local communities. Therefore the NGO should be based in Bhopal or within a 50-kilometer radius.

Proof that may be needed: Evidence of primary office location, such as a utility bill or lease agreement.

3. No Existing Website

The NGO must not already have an active website. An active website is publicly accessible and provides information about the NGO. NGOs with inactive sites or domains may still qualify.

4. Organizational Focus

Priority given to NGOs working in education, healthcare, women empowerment, or the environment.

Proof that may be needed: Examples or reports of work in these areas.

5. Non-Political and Non-Religious*

The NGO must be non-political and primarily focused on community service. Faith-based organizations are eligible if their main mission is community welfare without promoting specific religious beliefs.

Proof that may be needed: Declaration of non-affiliation.

6. Operational Status

The NGO must have been operational for at least one year.

Proof that may be needed: Annual reports, activity summaries, or testimonials.

7. Staff and Volunteer Commitment

At least one staff member or volunteer must be committed to participating in the website creation and maintenance.

Proof that may be needed: Designation of the responsible individual and their commitment.

8. Financial Transparency

The NGO should have transparent financial practices.

Proof that may be needed: Recent financial statement or audit report.

9. Impact Potential

NGOs must demonstrate how a website will enhance their outreach, fundraising, or service delivery. This ensures that the website will be used to significantly amplify the NGO’s impact.

Proof that may be needed: Explanation of how the website will benefit operations and examples of potential impact.

10. Previous Participation

NGOs that have previously participated in a do_action event are not eligible unless significant changes have occurred.

Proof that may be needed: Documentation of significant structural or mission changes.

11. Commitment to Utilize the Website

The NGO must commit to actively using and updating the website post-event.
